Everytime I tried to install XP, I was always putting it on a small partition I made on the new drive I put in. Just about a week ago I installed and it installed perfectly fine. (I used a different Windows XP CD & a different DVD drive then). The most probable reason why you are getting error 0x0000007B (INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE) is SATA disk controller configured in AHCI mode, which is supported by BIOS interrupt 13h, but requires special driver from Working... Partition the SATA drive first, and create a small partition for XP. Just make sure text is highlighted and check the box HEX TEXT.
